The combined Clerk's Office/Administrative Services Office provides a variety of services for Township residents, is custodian of all records, and acts as a clearing house for other departments.

The Township of Schaumburg Committee of the Whole Meetings and Board of Trustees Meetings are every 3rd and 4th Wednesday in the Board Room #310 (unless otherwise indicated). All meetings are open to the public.

Voter Registration/Election Information:
The Clerk’s office has several deputy registrars able to assist you with your voter registration. Please bring two forms of ID with your correct address listed, such as a driver’s license and utility bill.

Information on the upcoming Primary Election, February 2, 2010 can be obtained by visiting www.cookcountyclerk.com or calling the Clerk’s office at (847) 884-0030.


Vehicle Stickers:
Vehicle Stickers for 2009-2010 will be available June 1, 2009. Vehicle Stickers must be purchased no later than July 1, 2009. Cook County will charge a late fee equal to the price of the license or $25.00, whichever is greater. Failure to purchase a Vehicle Sticker may result in the issuance of a ticket and fine of $75.00. Remember if you purchase a new vehicle or are new to the area you will have 30 days to purchase or transfer a sticker, providing proof of purchase date (bill of sale) or move date (rental/title papers).

Vehicle Fees

  • Small passenger vehicles weighing less than 4,500 lbs. are required to display an XSV Sticker - $40.00.
  • Large passenger vehicles weighing over 4,500 lbs. are required to display an XLV Sticker - $50.00.
  • Trucks (up to 10,000 lbs.) are required to display an A Sticker - $50.00.
  • Motorcycles are required to display a MB Plates - $25.00.
  • Seniors 65 and older may acquire a vehicle sticker for Free, valid for as long as they own that vehicle. Maximum two cars per person. Trailers and motorcycles will pay full price.

Disabled Parking Placards:
We may issue a temporary Disabled Parking Placard to qualified individuals up to 3 months. If you require a permanent or 6 month Disabled Parking Placard, please visit the Illinois Secretary of State website at www.sos.state.il.us to assist you further.

Notary Public Service:
Effective June 1, 2009, the Township of Schaumburg will no longer notarize any document(s) involving a document of conveyance transferring or purporting to transfer title to residential real property located in Cook County.

The State of Illinois prohibits a Notary Public from notarizing certain types of documents. A list of acceptable items has been provided. This list may change with addition of documents. If you have a question regarding the item you would like to notarize, please feel free to call us at (847)884-0030 ext. 3016.

IT IS THE DISCRETION OF THE NOTARY PUBLIC TO MAKE ANY EXCEPTIONS TO THIS LIST. IF THE ITEM IS NOT ON THE LIST OF ACCEPTABLE ITEMS WE CAN AND WILL RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE OF NOTARIZATION.


Passport:
We have several acceptance agents to assist you with the processing of your application. No appointment necessary. We process applications Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. We will process complicated applications such as hand-carry applications. Please call the Clerk’s Office for further information (847)884-0030.

If you are a first time applicant or under the age of 18 applying to renew your passport, you are required to fill out a DS-11 application form.

If you have a passport that was issued less than 15 years ago, you are required to fill out a DS-82 application form. Renewal Passport Applications are done by mail and do not need the assistance of an acceptance agent.

If you are applying for a minor (15 years old or younger), both parents are required to be present during the processing of the application. If one parent cannot be present, he/she will be required to submit a DS-3053 form, giving consent to the other parent to apply for the minor on behalf of both parents.

If you were issued a passport in the past, you are required to submit the most recent passport with your passport application. If you cannot locate your previous passport you will be required to fill out a DS-64 lost/stolen form with your passport application.

We honor our veterans at our regularly scheduled Board Meetings each month. If you know a veteran or you are a veteran and would like to be recognized for your service to our Country, please fill out an Application.

Eligibility Requirements: • Served during a time of conflict
• Honorable discharge
• Reside within Schaumburg Township
• Township Application with DD-214 form.


All Applications must be submitted with a DD-214 form.

All Applications will be accepted and reviewed. Applicants will be contacted by the Schaumburg Township Clerk’s Office.

Request for Public Records:
The Township of Schaumburg requires any person requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) (5 ILCS 140/), do so by filling out a Request for Public Record Form. All requests must be submitted by mail, personal delivery, fax or email. A designated FOIA Officer can be contacted at (847) 884-0030 to answer any questions you may have regarding your request.
