July 9, 2026 – Second installment property tax bills in Cook County will be delayed. “The current estimates indicate that bills will be sent out about two months late, and as of this week, homeowners should expect a fall due date”, said Township of Schaumburg Assessor Victor Morales. “Residents should keep an eye on the Township and the Cook County Treasurer communication channels for up-to-date information. Once we know more, we will share that information with the community.”

Residents can appeal during the Cook County Assessor and Cook County Board of Review open appeals periods. Schaumburg Township staff help residents submit appeals to try and lower increases on property tax bills. Additional information can be found at: schaumburgtownship.org/departments/assessors-office/.

Appeals typically open in the fall and winter for Schaumburg Township. Open appeals dates will be announced at schaumburgtownship.org, Facebook (@SchaumburgTownship), Instagram (@SchaumburgTownship) and via the Township eNewsletters. Sign up for eNewsletters at the Township website. Additional tax information can be found at cookcountytreasurer.com.
