Shred Day is held once a year, typically in spring or summer, at One Illinois Blvd, Hoffman Estates IL, 60169. This year the event will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 8-10am at the Township. For questions about the shred event please contact the Clerk’s office at 847-285-4561.

Paper Items

Paper shredding is limited to four boxes or paper bags per vehicle (1 cubic ft. or 15 x 12 x 10). Boxes must be unsealed, and plastic bags are not allowed. Paper clips, staples and rubber bands do not need to be removed. To conduct a contactless shredding, boxes or bags must be easily accessible in your vehicle’s trunk and residents should remain in their vehicles at all times. This a free event and available to Schaumburg Township residents only. Businesses will not be permitted at this event.
