The holiday season should be a time of joy, family and making memories, but for families facing financial challenges, providing gifts for their children can be difficult. The Township of Schaumburg Toy Store helps make the season a little brighter by connecting local families with donated gifts and giving parents the opportunity to choose something special for their children.

The Toy Store is expanding this year, and we need both families who could benefit from the program and community members who would like to help make it possible. Whether you are a Schaumburg Township resident looking for holiday assistance or a donor looking for a meaningful way to support local children, there are ways to get involved.

For Families

If your family could use some extra help providing gifts this holiday season, consider signing up for the Township Toy Store. Registration is required this year and must be completed in person.

Registration: November 7, 2026, from 9am-12pm
Location: Township of Schaumburg, 1 Illinois Blvd., Hoffman Estates

The Toy Store is available to Schaumburg Township residents in need with children age 18 and younger.

When registering, please bring:

• Proof of residency: Bank statement, utility bill, identification or another document showing your current address
• Proof of children: Birth certificate, medical card, school documentation or another document verifying the child

This is the first year registration will be required for the Township Toy Store. If you have questions about registration or eligibility, please call 847-285-4630.

For Donors

Want to help bring some holiday cheer to local families? Your generosity can help make the holidays special for children throughout Schaumburg Township.

We are accepting new, unwrapped toys for children from newborn through 12 years old. Donated toys are used to stock the Toy Store, where parents can personally select gifts for their children. This gives families the opportunity to choose gifts that are meaningful and appropriate for their children.

We are also seeking $25 gift cards for teens, with popular options including shopping malls, restaurants, fast-food restaurants, gas stations and other teen-friendly retailers.
